The Aguas Calientes Bus Station

Here is where you take the bus to ascend to the ruins.

The first bus leaves at 5:30 am and the Machu Picchu ruins open at 6:00 am. If you wish to climb the Wayna Picchu, keep in mind that the maximum number of allowed daily visitors is 400, and the entrance opens at 7:00 am. It’s strongly advised to rise early!

The ascent to the ruins is quite steep.
If you want to save on the fare or enjoy
a walk, it’s advisable to do so upon your return.
